Started in the early 2020s by friends who’d been burned in the pits of traditional publishing, tRaum Books began as a place for two writers and appreciators of queer lit to release their stories with complete creative control. Since then, the press has expanded to include fourteen other writers from all over the globe, and tRaum has become a tiny word-of-mouth watering hole for the kind of queer fiction traditional publishing wouldn’t DARE.
Named SECOND Best Indie Press of 2025 (by The Transfeminine Review); and including writing from authors such as June Martin (2025 Lambda Finalist for Love/Aggression); Briar Ripley Page (modern horror novella extraordinaire); and underground poet-sensation Never Angeline North, tRaum Books is dedicated to bringing readers a carefully curated catalogue of literature from authors who actively push back against the generic tide, AI slop, and calls for tokenized, sanitized depictions.
This event features selections from the Little Books series, a collectible, small library of locally printed, palm-sized books featuring a range of voices, genres, and topics: dark coming-of-age; extreme horror; post-modern trans poetry; absurd eco-fic; and more!

Ryszard Merey is a proud dad, artist, editor and book-maker at tRaum, and an author himself of multiple books, including the problematic and janky graphic novel A+E 4Ever (named a Stonewall Honoree, and on the banned list of at least one US state); and the novella Read and then Burn This (called The Piano Teacher-adjacent, and named a Best of 2025 pick by Dancing Star Press). His favorite shape is the hexagon.
